In July 2023, the European Commission adopted the ESRS under the CSRD. Subsequently, the ESRS were under a two-month scrutiny period starting on 21 August 2023, with the Delegated Act being adopted unless either the European Council or the European Parliament object.
Last week, a motion was tabled in the European Parliament to object to the Delegated Act for the ESRS.
On 18 October 2023, the European Parliament voted to reject the motion objecting to the Delegated Act for the ESRS.
