EU Parliament fast-tracks vote on CSRD and CSDDD delay
On 1 April 2025, the EU Parliament voted to fast-track the ‘stop-the-clock’ proposal to postpone the application of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) for certain entities.
The urgent procedure was used to vote on Thursday, 3 April 2025, a two-years delay for the second and third waves of companies to apply social and environmental reporting, and a one-year delay for due diligence measures for the largest companies.
