European Commission releases EU Taxonomy FAQ
The European Commission has released a new set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to assist investors with the European Union (EU) Taxonomy with classification system for defining sustainable economic activities.
The FAQs address several key topics, including general Taxonomy requirements, interoperability of the Taxonomy with The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive’s (CSRD) European Standards for Sustainability Reporting (ESRS), verification and assurance requirements, technical screening criteria for specific activities for each of the six environmental objectives, and clarifications for reporting obligations under the Climate and Environmental Delegated Acts. It also has a section dedicated to questions about the ‘Do No Significant Harm’ (DNSH) criteria.
